The Hierarchical Control of ST-Finite State Machines

چکیده
This paper follows 3] where a new notion of state aggregation for nite machines was introduced via the concept of the dynamical consistency (DC) relation between the blocks of states in any given state space partition. This formulation results in a deenition of high level dynamics on the nite (partition) machine M whose states correspond to the given partition elements. This paper treats the more general case of ST-systems where there is a preferred sense of ow from a set of source states (S) to a set of target states (T) which is to be achieved by (hierarchical) control. A generali-sation of the theory of 3] to ST-systems is given which includes the generalisation of the notions of dynamical consistency, in block controllability and hierarchical feedback control on the associated hierarchical lattices.

Restricted cascade and wreath products of fuzzy finite switchboard state machines
A finite switchboard state machine is a specialized finite state machine. It is built by binding the concepts of switching state machines and commutative state machines. The main purpose of this paper is to give a specific algorithm for fuzzy finite switchboard state machine and also, investigates the concepts of switching relation, covering, restricted cascade products and wreath products of f...
متن کاملSynthesis and FPGA-based Implementation of Hierarchical Finite State Machines from Specification in Handel-C
The paper suggests a technique, which permits to describe modular, hierarchical and parallel algorithms in Handel-C. This opportunity has been provided by generating the required control sequences with the aid of a hierarchical finite state machine. The proposed specification in Handel-C is synthesizable and it can be translated (for example, in DK2 environment of Celoxica) to EDIF format. The ...
متن کاملReconfigurable Hierarchical Finite State Machines
The paper suggests design methods for reconfigurable hierarchical finite state machines (RHFSM), which possess two following important features: 1) they enable the control algorithm to be divided in modules providing direct support for “divide and conquer” strategy; 2) they can be reconfigured both statically and dynamically. Run-time reconfiguration permits virtual control systems to be constr...
متن کاملCDC02-REG0793 Supervisory Control Problems of Hierarchical Finite State Machines
The situation under consideration is that of a given Discrete Event System (DES), whose behavior has to be modified by means of a feedback control (named Supervisor) in order to achieve a given set of requirements that the initial DES did not satisfy. To do so, the DES is modeled as a Hierarchical Finite State Machine (HFSM). Further, instead of translating the HFSM to ordinary state machines a...
